Stallions
Dyffryncothi Myrddin Bay 14.2hh Sec D Stallion foaled 2003.
Bred in the purple with a pedigree which is full of Royal Welsh Champions on both sides, Myrddin was purchased as a yearling originally to run on for the Sec D side of the stud. Although only lightly shown in his lifetime, Myrddin has produced several top quality foals in his first few years as a breeding stallion with foals inheriting his fantastic type, limbs, impressive movement and kind temperament. Myrddin is currently leased to Birchmores Stud of Pen Y Cae, South Wales for 2010/2011 seasons.
Farchynys Zircon Palomino roan 13hh Sec B stallion foaled 2006.
Purchased at three months old from the Farchynys Stud, Zircon has been a consistent prizewinner in hand, including 1st & Sec B Champion at SCWPCA Foal & Youngstock Show, qualifying for the Brightwells Supreme Sec B In Hand Final along with numerous first prizes at both Association & County level shows as a three year old. Being a mix of Weston & Coed Coch bloodlines he is a pony who has tremendous substance without compromising on quality. Zircon ran out with his first mares this season and has been a complete gentleman - he has one mare scanned in foal and has covered three others for Farchynys Stud. His 2011 foals are eagerly awaited.
Barnmeadow Rhys Grey 12hh Sec A stallion foaled 1994.
Rhys is believed to be one of the last remaining stallions sired by the renowned stockgetter Twyford Sprig and he doesn't disappoint. He is an old fashioned type of pony, with a lovely long front, excellent limbs and a tail set on top with a wonderful temperament to match.
